Visas

IMPORTANT: The visa process should start at least 15 days prior to the trip. You don’t need to ask for an appointment, just to present:

a.   Application Form, complete and signed;

b.   Valid passport (at least for the next 6 months of arriving Uruguay). The Consulate does not hold the passport;

c.   One passport-sized photograph;

d.   E-ticket or printed roundtrip ticket;

e.   Reference in Uruguay (person, corporation) or hotel reservation made under the traveling person’s name. If you are not spending the night in the country you don’t need to fill out that part;

f.    U$ 5.00 (five dollars) Money Order.

 

When the visa is ready to be stamped, you need to visit the Consulate with your passport and a US$ 42.00 (forty-two dollars) Money Order.

 Mail applications required a self-addressed and stamped envelope for registered, security mail or courier slip
 DO NOT SEND THE PASSPORT IN THE ENVELOPE
